The aim of this text is to assist international students of the Civil Engineering Programme, who have already taken Mathematics 1 (covering the basic facts about vectors, matrices, analytic geometry, and real functions)
This volume builds on the material covered in Mathematics 1. The focus of the text is on an explanation of the basic principles of calculus, that is, on differentiation and integration, with a sketch of the important applications in differential equations.
Besides international students of the Civil Engineering Programme, this text may also be useful for domestic students taking Mathematics in the English language.
