The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) awarded this book a medal for creativity in 2015, for authors of distinguished works in the field of humanist social sciences.
During my research I conducted 65 interviews with the painters or their family members, among whom 63 are included in the representative list Of Slovak naive painters from Serbia.
Besides the painter's naratives and their ethnological and anthropological analysis, this edition also includes visual material presented to the readers. Paintings by naive artists made in rural surroundings are in a way ethnographic notes on socioculturalcontinuity and changes in the life of the Slovak national minority in Serbia.
